Scott Library Announces New Family Room

Scott Library Announces New Family Room

The York University Libraries are announcing an enhanced service: a quiet, private space for parents or caregivers who are breastfeeding where they can breastfeed and other wise care for their babies.

This space, called the Scott Library Family Room is available in Central Square 133B and has some soft seating, a refrigerator for storing breast milk and is a little ways away from the hustle and bustle of the library.  This space is available for all those who need the space and is open when the library is open.

Currently, these hours are:
Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM,
Fridays 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Saturdays 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Sundays 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM

The YUL embraces services that enhance the experience of our users and we hope and anticipate that this service will make it easier for the parents of very young children to attend York.  For access to the room, go to the Building Services Desk just to the left as you enter the library.

If there are any questions regarding this room, please contact Colette Leier, YUL Executive Officer at 416-736-2100 x 88867
