Requesting an Information Literacy / Library Research Session for Your Students

Our information literacy and library research classes help students develop key digital and information literacy competencies. Librarians at the Bronfman Business Library collaborate with faculty to enhance the information literacy competencies of business students by:

  •  introducing them to the best resources to meet their research needs
  •  demonstrating effective search strategies
  •  teaching them the value of critically evaluating sources
  •  stressing the importance of citing sources to avoid plagiarism
  • contributing to the course eClass or Canvas by providing links to online resources

Information literate individuals have the ability to define their information needs, to find information efficiently and to critically evaluate what they have found in order to integrate it into their work.

We have included a link to Information Literacy in a Business Context which elaborates on this topic and provides links to related readings and websites.

Faculty who wish to arrange a library instructional session and/or supporting web guide for a business program or course are advised to consult the information provided below.
