To improve your search experience in Omni, York users are encouraged to sign in. You can do this by clicking the “My Account” link under the search bar of Omni and authenticating via Passport York or Library Barcode and PIN. Signing in provides two advantages:

1. Results from some indexing databases, such as Web of Science and Scopus, allow their records to be displayed only to authenticated York users. These records are hidden from unauthenticated users.
2. Omni will display up to 250 records to unauthenticated users to manage server load by bots. The cap for authenticated users is currently 2000 results. The vendor, ExLibris, is investigating ways to increase this cap while protecting server loads.
