I’m delighted to announce Aaron Manton has been appointed Communications Manager, York University Libraries on October 1, following an extensive search attracting very strong candidates. Aaron Manton is a strategic communications/media relations professional and writer with experience in municipal, provincial and federal political campaigns and organizations across Canada. Prior to working in York’s Communications & Public Affairs division, writing for YFile, Aaron was a press secretary for the Government of Alberta, most recently serving in the Office of the Deputy Premier/Minister of Health. He developed a passion for making a difference and telling compelling stories as a public/government relations consultant in Toronto and through volunteering for transit and environmental advocacy organizations. Aaron is a York alumnus with a BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies.
