The Steacie Library Dungeon Hackfest
WHAT: All day coding on the theme OPEN YORK DATA!! Or use the space to work on your own Hackfest idea. Work on a project, app, or widget.
What is a Hackfest? If you haven’t been to one, it is about using your computer language skills and spending the day collaborating on a particular project, and hopefully bringing the project to reality.
The first half of the day is mainly about forming groups, discussing hack ideas, and of course getting started on coding. The second half of the day is spent continuing with coding, moving the project forward, and solving some issues collectively, so to create a final product.
Lunch and caffeine provided!
Event welcomes students, librarians, IT staff, and any person who is interested in creating open source innovations.
CODE, COLLABORATE AND CREATE!
Steacie Library will provide the space with power, lunch, and experts to help you write your application. Space is limited.
