The Bronfman Business Library recently welcomed the acquisition of the international and historical component of Sustainalytics, which expanded our subscription universe from 1,200 companies to approximately 2,900 companies. This includes:

With over 20 years of experience and more than 80 analysts, Sustainalytics is a great tool for sustainability research and analysis covering companies around the world. It turns vast quantities of environmental, social and governance information into insightful, value-added analysis to enable more informed investment and business decisions. Sustainalytics assesses company performance based on 148 Environmental, Social, and Governance indicators, and on 12 indicators related to Product Involvement, e.g. Tobacco, Military Weapons and Nuclear Power. Companies are assigned an overall ESG score, they are also ranked within their peer group supporting best-of-sector analysis. Here, you can find the tools to identify industry ESG leaders, assess company performance around key ESG issues, conduct deep analysis of a company’s involvement in controversial incidents, benchmark a company’s ESG performance against industry peers, and stay informed on relevant ESG issues. In the individual company ESG reports, you can expect to read about the preparedness of a company to manage ESG risks, as well as the company’s involvement in controversial incidents which gets updated monthly. Furthermore, you have the option to generate comparative reports, which includes relative analysis that outline rankings and scores to identify ESG leaders and laggards, best in class analysis which highlights top ESG performers, filter reports that reflect mandates of a responsible investment policy, and indicator reports that outline company performance on key ESG issues. Lastly, insights on key industries and ideas about current business trends with an ESG implication can be downloaded from Sustainalytics’ corporate website for free: http://www.sustainalytics.com/Insights
